Raised on a family farm near Muenster, Saskatchewan, Lorne brings a lifelong connection to agriculture and a strong understanding of rural land and farm operations. His career has been rooted in serving producers and supporting the agricultural industry across Northeast and East-Central Saskatchewan.
Lorne began his professional path in Humboldt with a local agricultural machinery dealership, advancing from parts to Territory Manager and management roles in Humboldt and Melfort. Through this work, he developed extensive experience travelling the region and working directly with producers on equipment, operations, and long-term planning.
He holds a Derivatives Market Specialist (DMS) designation from the Canadian Securities Institute, with focused knowledge in futures and options and agricultural risk management.
Lorne has also served in leadership and governance roles, including Humboldt City Council, the Lanigan Creek Dellwood Watershed Association, and St. Augustine Parish Council, providing valuable insight into municipal processes, land use considerations, and community planning.
Through years of working alongside producers on major equipment and financing decisions, Lorne understands the complexity of high-value agricultural transactions and the importance of balancing operational, financial, and family considerations. He brings a patient, practical approach to helping clients evaluate options and move forward with confidence.
Outside of work, Lorne enjoys fishing, travel, working outdoors, and time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
