Hammond Realty recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of their web users and email newsletter subscribers.

Business Information

Hammond Realty manages the collection of all information in strict accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and collects only regular business card information such as name, title, business address, business email and business phone number.

Personal Information

We will provide specific notice before collecting any of your personal information. We will explain what information is being collected, and how the information collected will be used. You have the right to decline the collection of this information, and its subsequent use by Hammond Realty for marketing purposes at any time.

Non-Personal Information

Our Website’s operating system – like all other Websites – automatically records some general, non-personal information about your Web visit, such as:

The domain of the Internet Service Provider (such as “company.com” or “service.ca”), and the IP address (such as “ppp-55”) of the computer used to access this site;d

The type of Web browser (such as “Internet Explorer version x” or “Chrome version x”), and the operating system (such as Macintosh, Unix, or Windows) used to access this site;

The date and time of the visit to this Website; and,

The URLs of the various webpages which are visited on this site.

This tracking system does NOT record personal information about individuals.

We use the above non-personal information for statistical analysis, and to help us make our website more useful to our visitors. We may also disclose an aggregated summary of the above information to third parties such as sponsors, advertisers and our auditors.

We may also use “cookies” that identify you as a return visitor. A cookie is a piece of data that a website can send to your browser, which may then be stored on your hard drive. We might do this so that when you come back to visit us again, we can tailor information to suit your individual preferences. The goal is to save you time, and provide you with a more meaningful visit. Cookies do NOT contain ANY personally identifying information. Browsers allow you to disable cookie collection if you wish, or inform you when a cookie is being stored on your hard drive.

Referral Links Noted On This Site

This policy discloses the privacy practices for our website. However, our website also contains links to other websites. Once you move to another site, you are subject to the privacy and security policies of the new site. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of all of the websites you visit, especially if you intend to share your personal information with that website.

Session recording and website analytics

To understand how visitors use our website and to find and fix problems, we use two session recording tools:

  • Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) records how you interact with our pages, such as clicks, taps, scrolling, mouse movement, the pages you visit and how long you stay. It turns this into session replays, heatmaps and usage statistics. Clarity also collects technical information such as your device type, browser, screen size, approximate location (derived from your IP address) and the page that referred you to us.
  • Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) records a sample of browsing sessions, and any session where an error occurs, so we can diagnose and fix technical problems.

What we hide. Neither tool records what you type into forms, including passwords. Clarity hides email addresses and numbers by default, and the content of your account, sign-in, registration and email-preference pages is masked. Clarity does not load when you open our account, preview, administration or unsubscribe pages directly. Public listing details, such as prices and acreage, may appear in recordings.

Cookies. Clarity uses first-party cookies (such as _clck and _clsk) to link the pages you view into one visit and to recognise return visits. Microsoft may also set its own cookies (such as MUID). You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings, and the website will keep working.

Where the data goes. Microsoft and Sentry process this data on our behalf. It may be stored and processed outside Canada, including in the United States, where the laws of that country may apply to it. Microsoft also uses data it collects through Clarity as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Sentry’s handling is described in the Sentry Privacy Policy.

How long we keep it. Each provider deletes session recordings after a limited period. For Clarity this is generally about 30 days, longer only for recordings we flag for review. Aggregated statistics may be kept longer.

Your choices. To ask about, or request deletion of, recording data associated with you, contact us at [email protected].

Account Deletion
If you create an account on our website, you may request deletion of your account and associated personal information. Upon receiving your request, we will acknowledge it, deactivate your account, and process deletion after a 30-day cooling-off period. You may request cancellation of the deletion during that period.

Once deletion is completed, we will delete or anonymize personal information that is no longer required, subject to any legal, regulatory, security, audit, fraud prevention, or anti-spam retention requirements. We may retain a minimal record of the request and limited suppression information to ensure your request is respected going forward.

Changes

Any changes to this privacy policy will be communicated promptly on this page. If you still have questions, please contact us!
